Great price and a great option for an Old Louisville office! This beautiful Victorian home was built in 1880 by a local physician named Dr. William Bonnie. It remained a private residence until after WWII when it was used as a home for soldiers returning from the war. In the decade of the 60's this building and the building next to it (1246 South 3d) were converted into a high-end after hours men's key club called "The 1880 Club". This was a very exclusive club in the Louisville area and many prominent Louisville businessmen belonged to the club. In the 70's, this building, like many in the Old Louisville area, was vacated and left abandoned for many years. Hyland refurbished the building to meet the standards of the Kentucky Landmark Commission and the building now resides on the National Register for Historic Buildings.
