Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. He will be speaking about The Logistics in Louisville Project, which seeks to define and create the ideal future state for logistics in Louisville by addressing workforce and education, infrastructure and traffic, land use and sustainability, and technology and research. Teaching Interests Dr. Gue teaches courses in manufacturing and logistics systems design and operations at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Research Interests Dr. Gue's research addresses the design and control of logistics systems, including distribution, warehousing, and material handling. He has published in leading journals of his field and is co-inventor of several innovative warehouse designs which have been implemented in practice. His work on warehouse design has received multiple best paper awards and the Technical Innovation in Industrial Engineering Award in 2009. Dr. Gue's ongoing reseach addresses order fulfillment for e-commerce and high-density, puzzle-based material handling.
